Liquid nitrogen tanks are used for cryopreservation of semen and embryos. These tanks are made of strudy aluminium and steel construction and come in a variety of sizes and capacities. Canisters within the tanks hold the tank's straws or cryovials. See more info on each tank below.
MVE SC 3/3 3 lt - Is ideal for shorter-term holding and small volume transportation. 16 inches high with 6 five-inch height canisters. Weighs less than 15 pounds full. This unit will fit in the ´mushroom´ shipping protector, but it is NOT a vapor shipper and should only be shipped dry or accompanied by a technician.
MVE Millenium XC 20-20 lt - One of the most popular tanks on the market. A 20 liter tank with a 20 week working duration between refills. This tank has the same exterior dimensions and weight as the 20/20, but with it´s slightly larger canisters it can hold up to 780 straws (based on 1/2cc straws, 10 per cane). 6 canisters.
MVE SC 20/20 20 lt - The SC series is designed for users with smaller capacity needs looking for longer term storage. The SC models are also known for their low liquid nitrogen consumption. This tank has a 20 liter liquid nitrogen capacity with a working duration of 20 weeks before refilling. 6 canisters.
MVE XC 34/18 34.8 lt - The MVE XC series of liquid nitrogen tanks is designed for users looking for extra capacity and low liquid nitrogen consumption. MVE I.D. system: The letters indicate tank series, the first number listed represents the tanks’ volume, the second represents the holding time of the tank, and for some models, a third number represents the number of canisters. This particular tank is a 34 liter liquid nitrogen tank with an 18 week working duration. A larger convenient 3.5 inch neck opening results in larger canisters which have a capacity of 2,100 1/2cc straws (based on 10 per cane). 6 canisters.
MVE XC 47/11-6 47.4 lt - This tank is one of the larger variety liquid nitrogen storage units, with a capacity of 4,500 1/2cc straws (based on 10 straws per cane). It is a 47 liter tank with an 11 week working duration under normal operation conditions. Neck opening/canister diameter is 5 inches. This tank has 6 canisters included.
MVE XC 47/11-10 47.4 lt - This tank is one of the larger variety liquid nitrogen storage units, with a capacity of 3,500 1/2cc straws (based on 10 straws per cane). It is a 47 liter tank with an 11 week working duration under normal operation conditions. Neck opening is 5 inches. This tank has 10 canisters included. The canisters are smaller than the 47/11-6 and therefore it holds less straws, but the benefit of having 10 canisters means there are less straws out of the tank when loading/retrieving.
